This Contemporary home, located in West Bay, Grand Cayman, showcases the integration of sustainable building techniques, products and systems optimized for a hot and humid climate.  The project utilizes site-specific and climate-driven solutions for solving key green building challenges on an island where energy is expensive, water resources are limited and building products are imported.  The design reinterprets traditional Caribbean vernacular to incorporate today’s family lifestyles, technologies and products appropriate for a custom home in a high-end resort setting. The project illuminates the potential of a home that meets the desires, needs and expectations of its inhabitants while being energy efficient, durable and cost-effective.
